For the adventurous, this is Scotland’s most thrilling marine experience. Timed exclusively to coincide with Spring tides when tidal forces are at their strongest, this three-hour adventure is designed to showcase the Corryvreckan Whirlpool at its most dramatic and powerful.
Departing from Easdale, we head directly to the Grey Dogs, a narrow channel where you’ll witness the remarkable difference in water levels between the sheltered sounds and the wild Atlantic Ocean. From here, we make for the Gulf of Corryvreckan, timing our arrival to catch the whirlpool at peak flow velocity.
The Scottish Association for Marine Science has confirmed that during Spring tides, more water flows through the Gulf of Corryvreckan in 24 hours than passes out of the mouth of the Amazon River. As we approach the whirlpool area, you’ll feel the raw power of nature as standing waves, whirlpools, and turbulent water demonstrate the incredible forces at work.

This tour operates exclusively on our 10-metre open RIBs, purpose-designed and built in our own workshops specifically for challenging Scottish waters. These boats far exceed current safety legislation and are engineered for performance in demanding conditions.
Powered by twin Yamaha 300HP engines, our RIBs offer outstanding acceleration and manoeuvrability—critical capabilities for safely navigating the Corryvreckan at peak flow. While they cruise comfortably at 25 knots, they’re capable of significantly higher speeds when conditions require.
Every passenger has an individual seat with dedicated footrests and handholds, with decks positioned above the waterline for safety. Should we take any water aboard, it immediately drains to the stern and back to sea. Most importantly, our skippers are our greatest asset—highly experienced professionals with many years exclusively on these waters.
